Sup. My name is Brendan and I am an illustrator and graphic designer working in Portland, Or. I graduated from Portland State with a degree in graphic design in 2014, and have been working at Nike ever since. I’ve bounced around in the company from Global Football designing soccer kits, to college basketball, designing tees and uniforms, to designing performance tees, kids tees, and now working on the Olympics team.

My background is in graffiti and that was my first education on letters and characters. Through my college years I worked as a chalkboard artist at Trader Joe’s, another informal education into color, signage, and retail design. I am an illustrator who specializes in cartoons, characters, and bright colors, doing digital illustration, paintings, and murals. I have a dream job doing graphics at Nike, but am always active in art shows and keeping my painting alive.

My interests are evident in my work. I can get lost in a record store collecting VHS, or rewatch any 80’s coming of age movie involving magic. The first fantasy book I read was Lord of the Rings. If it’s not fantasy, it’s food, traveling the city always searching for the next best mom and pop spot. While driving I’ll be bumping some 90’s rap or doom metal. But lately I’ve been deep diving into the sound of Bristol and Massive Attack.
